Hope in the Midst of Uncertainty

In Haiti, challenges and crises are worsening. With ongoing turmoil and escalating violence, our friends on La Gonave need our help more than ever.  While the rest of the country faces closures, the children on La Gonave are fortunate to continue attending school. Through our partnership with North Naples Church, we recently provided enough support to stock the school’s storeroom with a two-month supply of food, ensuring these children have nourishment amidst the crisis.

However, significant barriers to nourishment remain for many. Fifi, a friend of ours, recently visited the orphanage and Pastor Agones. She expressed she is unable to fund her ministry that cares for 70 children coming off the street. We were able to send enough to feed the children for 3 days. After his time with Fifi, Pastor Agones encountered three boys (two pictured above) from the local community who were not going to school and were forced to beg at a local market to support themselves and their blind father. With your generous support, we were able to provide them with essential resources such as clothing, shoes, and food, enabling them to attend school and receive a free education with a meal every day.

Celebrating Salvations

Despite their circumstances, people are chasing Christ in these chaotic times. Recently, 3 individuals made life-changing decisions to follow Christ and were baptized as a symbol of their newfound faith. Efforts to enhance the spiritual learning environment at the orphanage also continue, with Pastor Agones and Erick, a seminary student, building new benches to provide comfort for students during their Bible teachings.

Looking Towards Sustainability

In our commitment to long-term impact, our CEO and Founder, Terry Hand, participated in a training camp focused on sustainable agriculture development at ECHO Global Farms. He partook in learning about initiatives we plan to establish in Haiti to create opportunities for self-sufficiency and strengthen the local economy. We continue to strive to create lasting change in the communities we serve.

Moving Forward

As we navigate the challenges and uncertainties in Haiti, we remain steadfast in our mission to bring hope. These stories serve as a testament to the transformative power of God’s love and the impact of your prayers and support. We believe that together, we can make a difference. Let us stand in solidarity with the people of Haiti, offering assistance, nourishment, and empowerment for a brighter future.
