Mission That Endures

Advance the Faith has faithfully served foster youth in the Bahamas since 2010. Our mission is to remain a faithful presence, cultivate God-given purpose in every young life, and anchor them in the promise of hope. That connection does not end when a young person leaves a group home. Through our alumni program, we continue walking alongside them into adulthood.

Each year, teams travel to Cat Island and Nassau to lead quarterly and summer camps and life-readiness workshops, investing in hundreds of youth and young adults over the years.

Partnering Locations in Bahamas

Cat Island

At the heart of our mission is our original location at the Old Bight Mission Home for children on Cat Island. Over the years hundreds of youth and young adults have brought joy and the message of Christ through summer camps. In 2025, we began Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) training for the staff to provide trauma-informed care for the children. We also meet practical needs by over 16,000 meals annually.

Nassau

When the children on Cat Island become teens they are moved to one of two homes in Nassau, where our commitment continues, as we bring quarterly workshops and week-long summer camps to older youth. Our goal is preparing them for adulthood with a strong faith and known purpose. The alumni gatherings connect and nurture relationships of those who are navigating adulthood.

Nassau

Each summer, we travel to Nassau to work with older teens who reside at the Ranfurly Home for Children and Elizabeth Estates Home. Our trips provide content to prepare older youth for independent living as they approach age 18.
