Group Homes

Partnering with homes that care for foster youth.

SERVE. STRENGTHEN. SUPPORT.

FILLING GAPS

Group foster homes carry an incredible responsiblity to provide safety, stability, and care for youth who come from incredibly difficult backgrounds. At Advance the Faith, we come alongside organizations to offer life-readiness programs, mentoring, coaching, summer camps, and facilitate staff training in trauma-informed care. We exist to offer practical support designed to strengthen the environments where young people are growing and healing.

Our teams step into areas where help is needed most in fun and engaging ways, at no cost to the homes we serve. By working collaboratively with leadership and staff, we help create meaningful experiences that encourage faith, personal growth, and preparation for adulthood.

Currently our work is limited to Florida and the Bahamas.

WAYS WE SUPPORT HOMES

Camps & Workshops

We offer off-site, 2 to 5-day camps & workshops designed specifically for foster teens. These are off-site day camps - not sleep away. These experiences provide focused, engaging intensives on life-readiness skills like financial literacy & career preparation, as well as personal success topics like relationships, conflict resolution, and decision-making. Each day includes a faith-centered component, games, meals, and mental health support woven throughout. Camps are trauma-informed and designed to build trust, create connection, and give teens practical tools they can carry into adulthood.

Youth Coaching

This program provides consistent, 1:1 mentorship. Each youth or young adult is matched with a screened, trained coach who meets twice monthly, with additional check-ins for support. Coaches help youth set and achieve practical goals such as budgeting, housing, employment, and obtaining a driver’s license. Each youth gains a consistent adult who remains beyond group care—building trust, accountability, and confidence for the future. Currently this program is available in-person in SWFL or Online.

Monthly Visit

Our monthly visit program is a Saturday 3-hour event, offering mini-teachings, crafts, games, fun and friendships. Our teams are comprised of college students and adults who want to give back in meaningful ways.

Staff Training/Enrichment

In 2025, we launched an effort to equip group home staff and leadership with trauma-informed care by connecting them with a Certified Trust-Based Relational Intervention Trainer. During the training our staff and volunteers bring hospitality and pampering to the staff while keeping the youth engaged in fun activities while they learn. While this training isn't free, our support and hospitality are.

HOW DO WE PARTNER WITH YOU?

We partner with group foster homes serving older teens and transitional living programs for young adults who are preparing for independent living. Our programs are provided at no cost* and are designed to complement the work you are already doing, helping young people develop life skills, build strong character, and grow in personal responsibility. While many programs we serve are not faith-based, we are. Our approach includes Christ-centered teaching and character development drawn from biblical examples, as well as principles from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens and The Traveler’s Gift: 7 Decisions that Determine Personal Success. We openly share our faith, but participation is always respectful and never forced. We welcome the opportunity to connect through a brief consultation to understand your needs and how we can best serve your program. Our trained mentors build meaningful relationships, support youth in achieving practical goals, and often help fulfill requirements such as judicial diversion or life-skills programming. When possible, we also appreciate being included in grant opportunities that expand services for the youth you serve.

*Trauma-Informed Staff Training does require a financial investment from the group homes.

Together we can equip foster youth for stronger futures.
