Supporting Faith, Education, and Nourishment

FAITH. FAMILY. FUTURE.

Hope That Remains

Advance the Faith has served the community of Betoti on the island La Gonâve, Haiti, since 2013. While political unrest and violence have prevented us from returning in person, our commitment has not changed. We continue to support the Family of Happy Children orphanage, a community feeding program, and the evangelism work led by Pastor Jean-Jacques Agones.

In a place where opportunity is scarce and even bringing food to the island can be dangerous, faithful supporters continue to pray, give, and support our friends in Haiti providing residential care, nourishment, education, and the love of Christ.

Why Haiti?

Realities

Civil unrest preceded by catastrophic natural disasters and extreme poverty have left Haiti as the only Level 1 nation in the Western Hemisphere. La Gonave is known as the "Haiti" of Haiti's, because of it's extreme conditions. Food insecurity and lack of clean water are the top causes of death. Many travel up to 5 miles a day to get brackish water. Most adults have less than 5 years of schooling with less than 60% attending primary school and ~20% attending secondary.

Our Work

AtF provides for the total care of the children residing at The Family of Happy Children Orphanage. In addition to basic needs, we provide Bible, music, tutoring, and English lessons. During the annual virtual 5K AtF raises over $30,000 to provide emergency food relief to the community.

Mission Trips

Prior to the current dangerous circumstances, AtF took young missionaries on week-long trips to provide VBS style camps for communities on the island. We remain in prayer for the safety of our Haitian friends and for the day we can return.

Move Against Hunger

Every summer we sponsor a virtual 5K that sends 100% of the proceeds to purchase food for the Betoti community.

The children in Haiti participate in a week-long Move Against Hunger event where they participate in field games and friendly competitions. The children eat every day and take home dried rice and beans to their families at the end of the week. They also participate in giving back to the community by delivering food to those in need.

If you or your organization are interested in making an immediate life-giving impact, consider a donation or corporate sponsorship below.
